Apollo, extremely annoyed that this year's batch of chicks and keets were in love with him and followed him everywhere

Our barn cats were abandoned, and then rescued by a pro and given to us at about 6 weeks - they still needed their food moistened. The chickens were fascinated by them and I think they thought they were chicks they hatched accidentally.Â
The kittens learned very quickly that if you get too fresh with chickens, you get your little paws pecked. They are very respectful and hang with the birds all the time, and especially love to be in the pig pasture hanging out.
They are extremely good mousers and do great at eradicating the mice and rats that are inevitable if you have chicken feed sitting around. They're super friendly - Apollo in particular will climb you like a tree and start kneading and suckling on you. He leaves wet spots on your shirt. It's weird. However, they have stranger danger, so you may not see them at all during a visit.
They are all fixed, up to date on their shots, and fatter than our house cats - they are very well cared for and can be spotted rolling around chasing feathers and playing any time of day or night, including in the rain and snow.
